Palmetto Point Civic Association Rules

PALMETTO POINT CIVIC ASSOCIATION (PPCA) PROPERTY:  PPCA property is reserved for the exclusive use of its members and their guests; all others will be considered trespassers. Members MUST always accompany guests. Members are responsible and accountable for their guests. Destructive, unlawful or offensive behavior may result in revocation of membership and financial responsibility.

Sharing of keys is prohibited. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED and will result in revocation of membership with no refund of fees.

Your current year decal must be on your boat or kayak trailer, or vehicle if towing kayak or floating device, i.e., canoe.

Only members may park inside the fenced area. Guests must park outside the fenced area. Vehicles and trailers must be parked in designated areas. All other vehicles must use designated spots that are not reserved for trailers. Any vehicle parked in designated area without proper identification will be towed at owner’s risk and expense.

Any storage of personal property is prohibited.

Dogs must be on a leash outside the dog park, pick up after your dog.

Obey all parking signs in fenced area.

No horse play at anytime on PPCA property.

Use of all common areas including but not limited to the club house, boat ramp, docks, picnic area, pet park and parking area are at your own risk. PPCA assumes no risk or liability for any actions, activities or accidents of its members or guests while on the property.

PPCA is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property including but not limited to boats, trailers, cars, vehicles, golf carts, or any other property while left on or in use of PPCA facility.

MEMBERSHIP FEES: Fees are due at the beginning of the association fiscal year (calendar year January through December). Membership renewal will be conducted on hosted dates in January of each year. As of February 1, all memberships will be charged a $25.00 late fee – NO EXCEPTIONS. Out of area memberships are limited to fifty (50). Membership may be renewed throughout the calendar year. After February 1, renewals may only be conducted before or after a regular monthly meeting from 6:00 – 6:30 and for one half hour after the regular meeting ends. Disabled residents may make special arrangements with a Board member by phone. Payments can be made by cash, check or money order; no credit cards will be accepted. PROOF OF RESIDENCY AND BOAT REGISTRATION, AND TRAILER REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for all members. Boat and trailer registrations MUST match address of residency. Proof of residency can be made by valid Florida Driver’s License, tax bill, utility bill, or valid Florida issued ID. Two forms of ID are required.

CIVIC CENTER HOURS: The property is open to members in accordance with county ordinance, except for community clean-up days when the entire property will be closed. We also ask that members be mindful of the limited parking when the facility is rented.

CHILDREN: Children under the age of eighteen (18) MUST always be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Failure to accompany minors WILL result in revocation of membership. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for all behavior and actions of their children (and guests). Parents and/or guardians will be held accountable and financially responsible for any damage caused by their children (and guests). Failure to assume financial responsibility will result in revocation of membership.

PETS: Pets are allowed in the fenced PET PARK area ONLY without a leash. At all others times pets must be on a leash. Pet waste must be bagged and placed in the PPCA waste receptacles located near the pet gate entrance and the back door of the facility. Pets owners are responsible for any damages or injuries caused by their pet and will be held accountable and financially responsible. Failure to assume financial responsibility will result in revocation of membership. Member must clean up after themselves and their pets. This includes all trash and waste.

DUMPING: There is to be NO DUMPING of any nature, including lawn or landscape material. All trash must be placed in containers provided at the dock area. There will be no dumping of any kind in the fire pit. FISH CARCASSES OR REMAINS MAY NOT BE DISPOSED OF IN THE PPCA TRASH CANS.

PARKING LOT/ROPED OFF AREAS: If the parking lot is roped off, do not remove or disturb the barricade or the rope. Do not park in the roped off area. This area is reserved for an event.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW RULES: THERE WILL BE NO WARNINGS- ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. KEY FOBS WILL BE TURNED OFF. IF KEY FOB IS TURNED OFF, THE MEMBER MUST APPEAR AT THE NEXT BOARD MEETING TO REINSTATE MEMBERSHIP, WHICH MAY RESULT IN A REACTIVATION FEE OR REVOCATON. REVOCATIONS WILL RESULT IN NO REFUNDS.
