Who Can Join?
Members-Residents of Palmetto Point are invited to join our association.
Associate Membership – Non-Palmetto Point: Bay Colony, Melwood Oaks, and Bayou Estates residents are available for an increased fee.
Out of Area: Any individual not residing in Palmetto Point, Bay Colony, Melwood Oaks, or Bayou Estates. Out of Area memberships are limited each year to 50. Current Out of Area members will have first rights for membership the first two weekends of posted sign-ups. The first two weekends of sign-ups could be in December so please make sure you check every year to see when the sign up will be. December sign-ups are decided on a yearly basis by the board and may not be offered every year. December is based on Board’s availability for those dates.
Benefits of Joining
There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organization. Use of the park, boat ramp, and meeting hall rental are some of the benefits. Our members are close friends and we have a great time when we get together. Of course we also have a common interest in boating and boat safety.
When Can You Join?
2025 Registration Dates:
December 14th – 9:00AM – 12:00 PM
December 21st- 9:00AM – 12:00 PM
January 11th– 9:00AM – 12:00 PM
**First Date open to NEW Out of Area will be January 11th (if any available)
January 18th – 9:00AM – 12:00 PM
January 25th – 9:00AM – 12:00 PM
Membership sign-up is available at our meetings which are held on the second Thursday of each month.
Sign-up: 6:00 – 6:30 PM
Meeting: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
Please note that this is the only time to sign-up or get your gate fobs except for January. ALL memberships expire January 21. Volunteers will be available on Saturday mornings in January of each year for sign up. Times are 9 AM until Noon. If you are unable to come by in January, please make arrangements to bring your information and payment to the Thursday night meetings after January, WE ARE VOLUNTEERS – the 2nd Thursday of each month is our membership sign up appointed day and time.

MEMBERS RENEWAL LATE FEE $25 AFTER FEBRUARY 1st
Palmetto Point Residents and Associate Members:
Boat Ramp Membership – $275.00
Slide Gate Key Fob – $40.00 (if needed)
Pedestrian Gate Fob: $10.00 (If needed)
**There is no longer a Walk–On Membership. This was decided and voted on by members that attended the monthly meeting.
Out of Area:
Boat Ramp Membership – $600.00
Slide Gate Key Fob – $40.00 (if needed)
10% discount for Seniors over 60 years old- Law Enforcement & First Responder
Required Documentation for ALL returning and new Membership Sign-ups:
1 – Valid State or Gov issued identification. (ie. DL, ID card, CWP, etc)
2 – Utility Bill
3 – Boat Registration
4 – Trailer Registration (if you have a kayak that does not have a trailer, this is not required. If you have a trailer with no tag, this is not required. If we have a trailer tag on file for you from the previous year, we will expect to see a current trailer registration this year.)
**We will require boat and trailer registration for all trailers needing stickers. You will only get a sticker for the boat and trailers you have current and valid registrations for. **
